The Dark Circus Party…

I’m just passing on what I’ve heard. I’ll be attending, but don’t say this information came from me.  This Saturday the beautiful Bloomsbury Ballroom opens its doors to the enigmatic world of the Dark Circus Party. For those amongst you who like life’s simpler comforts, perhaps don’t read any further –this doesn’t apply to you. However, if there’s a part of you which is slightly intrigued by the thrilling mysterious underworld of debauchery, read on…

From what I understand, it’s the result of Bourne and Hollingsworth working alongside the infamous Torture Garden –the latter of which are known for their notorious displays of scandal and outrage. The night is said to be well fuelled by delicious cocktails –but then we will be in the hands of Bourne and Hollingsworth, famous for their innovation in alcohol mixing. If they have their way like I know they usually do, the crowds will be whipped up into a gin-head frenzy, with lashings of other spirits to boot. As if their input wasn’t enough, party-goers will be shocked, thrilled and amazed by the circus line-up including Ariel Acrobatics, late night cabaret, dark, dreamy and slightly depraved characters and creatures of Torture Garden’s past.

From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be incredibly memorable. Anyone who’s anyone wants to be there –and probably will be. There’ll be flesh, glamour, spectacle and the darkest, most satisfying theatre. Be there and expect the unexpected.
